Our research is focused on understanding various factors that contribute to joint disability and chronic pain. To this end, we are using the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) in preclinical models to investigate the cell and molecular mechanisms that may be clinically relevant in human diseases such as osteoarthritis (OA) and peripheral neuropathy.
